The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Anísio Carneiro put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Anísio Carneiro got a free kick in the 4th minute. Palestra do Interior's Fernando Pras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. Fernando Pras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Downing, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Fernando Pras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Downing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Cadu Team got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Paranaense. Válbson Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Pras having to make a save. Fernando Pras had great luck who in the 11thth minute grab hold of the ball when Mattias Downing from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Cadu Team's Gelu Lepuș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Vale in the 12th minute of play. Nelsinho Marinho charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelsinho Marinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Válbson Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renato Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Renato Barral hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Fernando Pras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson Paiva. If Válbson Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ronaldo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andre Barugh got free with Fernando Pras in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute of the match Cadu Team got a corner. Palestra do Interior's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Carlos Gerber ran over to the corner to take the kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Downing to make the kick off. Fernando Pras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Paiva in the 52nd minute of play. Alex Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute Válbson Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Pras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Pras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Downing in the 62nd minute of play. Gelu Lepuș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Renato Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadu Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra do Interior the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Cadu Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Barral to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play, Cadu Team's Mattias Downing made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Pras was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Palestra do Interior defense, Válbson Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Pras. The Palestra do Interior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Pras should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Cadu Team getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Mattias Downing hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Válbson Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Pras. Palestra do Interior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válbson Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 91st minute Cadu Team were awarded a corner. Zé Carlos Gerber went to the cornerflag to take it. After 92 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Tiradet Do Bonde. When the referee ended the match the Cadu Team players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
