The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Londrina's Edvaldo Medeiros got control of the ball when Genko Balevski tried to sneak it across the goal line. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Leite in the 30th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Genko Balevski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Londrina's Edvaldo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Londrina's goal looked a bit too open when Genko Balevski came free, but Edvaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Hulk Fenomeno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Medeiros. Londrina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hulk Fenomeno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Dieguinho Fernandez hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Dieguinho Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Londrina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA the free kick. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Londrina's goalkeeper Edvaldo Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edvaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genko Balevski in the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Londrina getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jaime Paiva hit a great ball. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Albuquerque in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute Ulysses Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genko Balevski, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Wágner Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Hulk Fenomeno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Catarinense hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Melquiades Amor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Paiva in the 70th minute. There was no doubt that CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA were the better team. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
