In the 40th minute of the match A A Arizona got a corner. Agua Santa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Paulo de Queirós ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led A A Arizona's Luiz Paulo de Queirós to fire away a dangerous shot which Tomé Mota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Manuel Paiva struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Tomé Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A A Arizona. Manuel Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Mota having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney da Mata during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidney da Mata hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Agua Santa's Enrique Abreu was substituted for Ernani Valladares. Gernando dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to A A Arizona getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gernando dos Santos hit a great ball. If Oséas Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A A Arizona's 胡振鸿 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save A A Arizona from getting a goal against them. Ronaldinho Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agua Santa made a substitution. William Luz replaced Frank Rosa. Rafael Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
