Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Vachon in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 19th minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jose Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Estudiantes de América got a corner. After some careless play in the La Maquina 9-12-18 defense, Kraig Fred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Vimaro. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Vimaro should have stopped the shot. After 98 played minutes La Maquina 9-12-18 got a freekick which was hit by Bastien Domenge. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Estudiantes de América were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
