Jeremias Maias short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Zézinho Simões to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Pedron in the 9th minute of play. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Charles Capixaba in the 17th minute. The corner ended in Genílson da Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões did a great save. Mário Fernandes hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Florin Susara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Pedron in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Valer Donose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Pedron in the 36th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diguinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curt Montes in the 42nd minute of the match. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Montes in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inácio Freitas to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curt Montes to maneuver through the defense. When Clayton Pedron came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the C o n f i a n ç a - SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clayton Pedron couldn't finish the play. Esteve Quinto hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. MarquinhosEC's Horácio Vides was substituted for Mark Kovalev. In the 70thth minute of the game Clayton Pedron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 72 minutes MarquinhosEC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Charles Capixaba who took care of the corner kick. If Clayton Pedron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Pedron came free, but Zézinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zézinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Pedron in the 86th minute of the match. MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Pedron in the 90th minute of play. Genílson da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zézinho Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
