The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ştefan Crețu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Codruț came free, but Dacian Oravițan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nichifor Codruț. In the 28th minute, Lucrețiu Oroian made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Gurgui. F.C.BARLAD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bogdan Gurgui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Giurcă in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to F.C.BARLAD getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ştefan Crețu hit a great ball. F.C.BARLAD's Bogdan Gurgui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Oroian in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, FC ciufulici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Răuțchi to maneuver through the defense. F.C.BARLAD's Ernest Zburlea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC ciufulici. Bogdan Gurgui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Vlas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After the first half FC ciufulici were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nichifor Codruț stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucrețiu Oroians short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Bogdan Gurgui to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bogdan Gurgui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Vlas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's Vlad Țâpu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dacian Oravițan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Dragotescu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Vlas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bogdan Gurgui. That made the score 0-3 in the 63 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Codruț in the 72nd minute of play forced FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Gurgui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Oroian in the 74th minute of play. Dumitru Surdu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dumitru Surdu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes F.C.BARLAD got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Surdu. Dacian Oravițan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Irod, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When F.C.BARLAD's Nichifor Codruț in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The goalkeeper, Bogdan Gurgui, was totally fooled by FC ciufulici's Doru Răuțchi, who 99 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The F.C.BARLAD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC ciufulici were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
