Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) DINAMO PLOIESTI's George Bălanescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Primitivo Grau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gelu Balotă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Gelu Balotă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, DINAMO PLOIESTI's George Bălanescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diki Doro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Zhao Sen Yang scored 1-3 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gelu Balotă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Zhao Sen Yang notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of DINAMO PLOIESTI's Gelu Balotă. Gelu Balotă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27thth minute of the game Zhao Sen Yang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO PLOIESTI's Gelu Balotă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. George Bălanescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diki Doro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 31 minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sidnei Donato who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Florin Bratu to score against Diki Doro in Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal. 2-4 after 31 minutes. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Diki Doro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Donato in the 37th minute of play. Zhao Sen Yang took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gelu Balotă. Gelu Balotă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. After the first half Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were leading 2-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhao Sen Yang made a kick off. Gelu Balotă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when George Bălanescu came free, but Diki Doro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zhao Sen Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gelu Balotă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Zhao Sen Yang reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gelu Balotă. The goal made the score 2-7. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Pandele was substituted for İlhami Akyazıcı. 75 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gelu Balotă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gelu Balotă was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Zhao Sen Yang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zhao Sen Yang really showed his touch with that goal: 2-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Donato in the 79th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Diki Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diki Doro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Bălanescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Diki Doro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Bălanescu's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gelu Balotă. That made the score 2-9 after 86 minutes of play. 90 minutes into the match, Claudiu Dragan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diki Doro. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudiu Dragan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-9.
