The wind increased when Gaizkine Vendrell made the kick off in the second half. Matei Răducu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Tristan in the 56th minute. The corner led to Carpathians's Ercan Sabahaddin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The audience was convinced that Stefan Dobay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Pysz was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
