Valer Uduleanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 6th playminute. 10 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Uduleanu came free, but Dacian Ghițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Ghițescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Uduleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Sântimbrean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dacian Ghițescu, 3-0. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Ghițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Panaitescu in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Eugen Boldur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cormoranii -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eugen Boldur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Ghițescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dacian Ghițescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. Valer Uduleanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Dacian Ghițescu made a huge save. In the 36th minute Valer Uduleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Ghițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Cormoranii -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Boldur to maneuver through the defense. Dacian Ghițescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Sântimbrean in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Codruț Macaneață to make the kick off. Dacian Ghițescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Uduleanu in the 55th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Strong Phoenix. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Golo Phoenix hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Valer Uduleanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cormoranii -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Macaneață during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cormoranii -MM- booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Macaneață didn't get a good kick on the ball. Strong Phoenix hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The Cormoranii -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Cormoranii -MM-'s Eugen Boldur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 74th minute, Marin Ciulei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 minutes of play, Cormoranii -MM-'s Valer Uduleanu made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca defense, Isac Covataru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dacian Ghițescu. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dacian Ghițescu should have stopped the shot. Dacian Ghițescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. Cormoranii -MM- walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
