The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in The North Face's zone, Dorin Banu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sorin Ailioaiei came out of the goal and Dorin Banu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Caramarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sorin Ailioaiei. The North Face's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiberiu Caramarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Sorin Ailioaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sorin Ailioaiei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Banu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Tiberiu Caramarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sorin Ailioaiei having to make a save. The North Face's Sorin Ailioaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 24th minute of play. Sorin Ailioaiei came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by MIT Craiova's Tiberiu Caramarin. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Caramarin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 31st minute, Tiberiu Caramarin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MIT Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 34th minute, Aron Ghiurutan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mihăiţă Ilarie came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the MIT Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihăiţă Ilarie couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the The North Face defense, Tiberiu Caramarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sorin Ailioaiei. The The North Face fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sorin Ailioaiei should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Caramarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sorin Ailioaiei was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind The North Face's goalkeeper Sorin Ailioaiei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 47 minutes, Tiberiu Caramarin made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. The North Face's Sorin Ailioaiei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiberiu Caramarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The North Face's Sorin Ailioaiei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save The North Face from getting a goal against them. When MIT Craiova's Tiberiu Caramarin in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. MIT Craiova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihăiţă Ilarie in the 67th minute. Sorin Ailioaiei came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by MIT Craiova's Tiberiu Caramarin. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Caramarin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. After 77 played minutes The North Face got a freekick which was hit by Aron Ghiurutan. MIT Craiova's Fabian Geantă was substituted for Mihăiţă Ilarie. The supporters of MIT Craiova booed when The North Face was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Ghiurutan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Ailioaiei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The North Face's Sorin Ailioaiei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save The North Face from getting a goal against them. When MIT Craiova's Tiberiu Caramarin in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. MIT Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiberiu Caramarin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sorin Ailioaiei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 99th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Ailioaiei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MIT Craiova played a much better game than The North Face and deserved their victory. The The North Face players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
