After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL FC's Svetlan Voynski got a free kick in the 7th minute. Qian Ying Lang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silviu Latarețu's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang Chong Yuan in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jiang Chong Yuan got free with Iacob Povară in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Qian Ying Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Latarețu in the 17th minute of play. The corner led F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Silviu Latarețu to fire away a dangerous shot which Qian Ying Lang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jiang Chong Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Qian Ying Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Găman in the 31st minute of the match. Iacob Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Chong Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Latarețu came free, but Qian Ying Lang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Chong Yuan in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

LIVERPOOL FC's Liviu Rada was substituted for Ion Dorlea. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silviu Latarețu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iosif Găman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Qian Ying Lang firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 56th minute Jiang Chong Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qian Ying Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Latarețu in the 61st minute of play. Iulian Nicorici's late challenge caught a LIVERPOOL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iulian Nicorici helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Nicorici to maneuver through the defense. Iulian Nicorici kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL FC's Svetlan Voynski got a free kick in the 70th minute. Qian Ying Lang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Gheorghe Bociort sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Qian Ying Lang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gheorghe Bociort in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qian Ying Lang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Alfie Solomons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurel Corlățean struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Iacob Povară didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LIVERPOOL FC. In the 85th minute Aurel Corlățean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Francisc Ciocoiu made a precise shot to the right of Qian Ying Lang. LIVERPOOL FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. A collision led to LIVERPOOL FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alexandru Negreanu hit a great ball. LIVERPOOL FC's Qian Ying Lang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save LIVERPOOL FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
