The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimir Lenin in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidiu Caranfil saved Club Vertigo from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Lenin in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Caranfil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Gică Curta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Murgu in the 19th minute of play forced Otelul Darmanesti's goalkeeper Nae Pavel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Vertigo booed when Otelul Darmanesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Brănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Vladimir Lenin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Caranfil was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rd minute Stelian Murgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Club Vertigo's zone, Vladimir Lenin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Caranfil came out of the goal and Vladimir Lenin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Nae Pavel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stelian Murgu in the 53rd minute. Ovidiu Caranfil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Berardinelli went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ovidiu Caranfil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Lenin in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Brănescu came free, but Ovidiu Caranfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Berardinelli in the 60th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Moți to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes, Otelul Darmanesti's Gheorghe Şelaru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Otelul Darmanesti reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ştefan Panțuru got free with Nae Pavel in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Vertigo's Emilian Moți got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Emilian Moți off the ground. In the 71st minute of the match Gheorghe Şelaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Caranfil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 74 played minutes Club Vertigo got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Carlos. A collision led to Otelul Darmanesti getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gică Curta hit a great ball. Ovidiu Caranfil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Lenin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Lenin in the 82nd minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Vladimir Lenin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ovidiu Caranfil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Vertigo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Otelul Darmanesti.
