Silviu Nedelciu started the match with the kick off. A collision led to AS Florilor - BV getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Codrin Dumitrachescu hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, AS Florilor - BV's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimir Lenin. Nae Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Rumaldo in the 9th minute of play. Gică Neculce made a great header on AS Florilor - BV's corner, it was just that Otelul Darmanesti's Nae Pavel managed to reach the ball for a save. 12 minutes into the match, Otelul Darmanesti's Manole Brănescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Milosz Gabis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigi Buffon. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Otelul Darmanesti's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rumaldo came free, but Nae Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Gabis in the 32nd minute of play forced AS Florilor - BV's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Gigi Buffon throw himself and got hold of the ball when Vladimir Lenin in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Berardinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Otelul Darmanesti's Gheorghe Şelaru got a free kick in the 37th minute. AS Florilor - BV's Gică Neculce got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Lenin in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimir Lenin to make the kick off. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Lenin in the 52nd minute of the match. Silviu Nedelciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AS Florilor - BV were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Otelul Darmanesti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gică Neculce took the corner. The corner ended in Gică Neculce almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Otelul Darmanesti's Nae Pavel did a great save. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Emanuel Maghiar took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Nae Pavel to make any attempt to save it. If Dennis Berardinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Lenin in the 65th minute of play forced AS Florilor - BV's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Vladimir Lenin made a precise shot to the right of Gigi Buffon. AS Florilor - BV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Lenin, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 77th minute, Paolo Rumaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Manole Brănescu fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otelul Darmanesti's protests and gave Manole Brănescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Otelul Darmanesti getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Manole Brănescu hit a great ball. Nae Pavel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Moiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Manole Brănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silviu Nedelciu got free with Nae Pavel in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
