It was Iustin Coporan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Champions Iasi's Iustin Coporan to fire away a dangerous shot which Niculae Ailenei despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Denis Ştercă scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Joldea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris-George Chevalier in the 18th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Chris-George Chevalier came free, but Ferdinand Joldea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Coporan got free with Niculae Ailenei in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niculae Ailenei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 25th minute of the match. Ferdinand Joldea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Ştercă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Borza in the 30th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Róbert Pál-Szabó struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Niculae Ailenei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Champions Iasi. Niculae Ailenei made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Cosmin Iureș sent off a good shot on target. Vasile Mumuleanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Niculae Ailenei came out and tried to block the shot, but Vasile Mumuleanu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 44th minute. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when Chevaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Cotuțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Iustin Coporan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Róbert Pál-Szabó made a kick off. In the 56th minute Vasile Mumuleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ailenei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Ailenei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Niculae Ailenei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Mumuleanu in the 58th minute of the match. Eliodor Moisescu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Chris-George Chevalier in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferdinand Joldea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Niculae Ailenei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 67th minute of play. Niculae Ailenei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 84th minute, Iustin Coporan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Champions Iasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 87 minutes play.
