With a little luck, AC Ony's Gabriel Postelnicescu got control of the ball when Stelian Pivniceru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stelian Pivniceru scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Postelnicescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Radu Tarchilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Iordan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Ony's Gabriel Postelnicescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save AC Ony from getting a goal against them. Radu Tarchilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Kling in the 33rd minute of the match. Romeo Hosu hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. SuperDepor's Radu Tarchilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santa Jøker in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute Tiberiu Iordan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Tarchilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SuperDepor's Radu Tarchilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Oberrauch in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Călin Bolborici made a kick off. After 50 played minutes AC Ony got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Romaşcanu. After having played for 53 minutes, Santa Jøker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Ony's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santa Jøker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Kling came free, but Radu Tarchilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Postelnicescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Hosu in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, AC Ony's goal looked a bit too open when Iustinian Comăneci came free, but Gabriel Postelnicescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vintilă Lupeanu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of AC Ony booed when SuperDepor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Tarchilă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Tiberiu Iordan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Iustinian Comăneci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Santa Jøker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radu Tarchilă was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Gabriel Postelnicescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Pivniceru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Jøker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radu Tarchilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by SuperDepor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Augusto Oberrauch was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Ony's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Santa Jøker got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Radu Tarchilă quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Călin Bolborici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Postelnicescu was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Santa Jøker managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Ony's supporters rose to their feet, but Santa Jøker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radu Tarchilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AC Ony had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
