The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Andrei Cosor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brun O'Down saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC BaLiSt's Cai Yue Guang threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Caetano Messias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 10 minutes into the match, FC BaLiSt's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Păvăloae came free, but Brun O'Down reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ninjas in Pyjamas were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after FC BaLiSt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rareș Tatulici took the corner. The corner ended in Rareș Tatulici almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC BaLiSt's Brun O'Down did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 14th minute of play forced FC BaLiSt's goalkeeper Brun O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cai Yue Guang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Zberea in the 17th minute of play. Brun O'Down showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Eric Păvăloae's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brun O'Down read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. FC BaLiSt's Brun O'Down played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 28th minute of play. FC BaLiSt's Claudiu Cârțan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alexandru Negreanu, made in the 31st minute of the game. Cai Yue Guang made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Laureano Cresenciano sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Păvăloae made a kick off. Cai Yue Guang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Zberea in the 52nd minute of play. FC BaLiSt's Brun O'Down played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Cresenciano in the 57th minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Cai Yue Guang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brun O'Down stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Păvăloae's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Messias in the 62nd minute of play. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC BaLiSt's Silviu Cigu was substituted for Mihăiţă Șeicaru. In the 67th minute Caetano Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cai Yue Guang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cai Yue Guang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Zberea in the 69th minute of the match. Brun O'Down made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, FC BaLiSt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Cresenciano to maneuver through the defense. FC BaLiSt's Petrică Burnei was substituted for Eugen Braniște. FC BaLiSt made a substitution. Traian Nanu replaced Aron Olteanu. A collision led to FC BaLiSt getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Laureano Cresenciano hit a great ball. Brun O'Down showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 75th minute of the match. Brun O'Down made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 77th minute. Brun O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Păvăloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Zberea came free, but Cai Yue Guang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cai Yue Guang came out of the goal and Laureano Cresenciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cai Yue Guang didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC BaLiSt's Caetano Messias shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Cai Yue Guang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Cresenciano in the 89th minute of play. Emanuele Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
