The audience was convinced that Juan Fertus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucian Crețulescu was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. AFC PunisherS™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC DINAMO Bucuresti the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Sorin Cartiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Irinel Cernescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Crețulescu having to interfere. When the match was over FC DINAMO Bucuresti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AFC PunisherS™ throughout the match.
