Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gheorghe Cunea in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kauã Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Toronto United's Kauã Paranaense got control of the ball when Aurel Pandrea tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute, Thomas Knowles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lou Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Eleazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Matei Trişcu made a huge save. Kauã Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Cunea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toronto United's Kauã Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Cunea in the 58th minute of play. Steaua Bucuresti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aurel Pandrea in the 59th minute. Steaua Bucuresti's Aurel Pandrea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kauã Paranaense in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kauã Paranaense came out of the goal and Aurel Pandrea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodolfo Eleazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matei Trişcu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Elwood Keys was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 87 played minutes Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Vasiliu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Pandrea in the 94th minute of play forced Toronto United's goalkeeper Kauã Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steaua Bucuresti's Matei Trişcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Eleazar in the 95th minute of play.
