Lucian Crețulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Eleazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Lucian Crețulescu made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Rodolfo Eleazar sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the match, Eduard Ţopescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kauã Paranaense. Toronto United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduard Ţopescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 14 played minutes Toronto United got a freekick which was hit by 顾沙希. Augustin Jivulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Eleazar in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucian Crețulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Eleazar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucian Crețulescu, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Eleazar in the 23rd minute of play forced AFC PunisherS™'s goalkeeper Lucian Crețulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Crețulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Eleazar in the 26th minute of the match. Kauã Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Ţopescu in the 32nd minute of play. Rodolfo Eleazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucian Crețulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Augustin Jivulescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kauã Paranaense skillfully saved the ball. Lucian Crețulescu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Rodolfo Eleazar sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Toronto United's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Ţopescu came free, but Kauã Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Codrin Ignat made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Rodolfo Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Crețulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Toronto United's Kauã Paranaense got control of the ball when Eduard Ţopescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 62 minutes, Leon Brand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto United and the AFC PunisherS™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. AFC PunisherS™ made a substitution. Fabian Ciociu replaced Augustin Jivulescu. Leon Brand kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Rodolfo Eleazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Eleazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, AFC PunisherS™'s goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Eleazar came free, but Lucian Crețulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Walker in the 72nd minute of play forced AFC PunisherS™'s goalkeeper Lucian Crețulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Costin Ignătoiu fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC PunisherS™'s protests and gave Costin Ignătoiu a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes AFC PunisherS™ got a freekick which was hit by Costin Ignătoiu. The supporters of Toronto United booed when AFC PunisherS™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Ignătoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Eleazar in the 81st minute of play forced AFC PunisherS™'s goalkeeper Lucian Crețulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Crețulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lou Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lou Walker struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Lucian Crețulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto United. Lucian Crețulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Eleazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Rodolfo Eleazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucian Crețulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After a rather tough play, Toronto United's Thomas Knowles got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Toronto United fans cheered their team off the field, for while AFC PunisherS™ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
