When FC Inter Craiova's Dale Couch in 5 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. João Massa guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Vasile Angelescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, João Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to UFC STEAUA getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rafet Faydalı hit a great ball. FC Inter Craiova's 蔡飞耀 shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by João Massa but with some difficulty. In the 13th minute, Vasile Angelescu made a precise shot to the right of João Massa. UFC STEAUA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 21st minute, Marian Maghiran reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Massa. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 24th minute of the match, Vasile Angelescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but João Massa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. David Bîndean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafet Faydalı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27thth minute of the game Nelson Mendoza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Inter Craiova's David Bîndean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When FC Inter Craiova's Marian Maghiran in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC STEAUA's goalie prevented a goal. Florin Arsenescu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 蔡飞耀 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marian Maghiran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but João Massa made a huge save. João Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Maghiran in the 35th minute of play. Marian Maghiran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of João Massa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. UFC STEAUA's João Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Maghiran in the 37th minute of play. Marian Maghiran in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Massa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Petre Prisecaru struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. João Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Inter Craiova. The FC Inter Craiova fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when FC Inter Craiova's Marian Maghiran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. João Massa came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Inter Craiova's Marian Maghiran. But to his dismay, Marian Maghiran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When FC Inter Craiova's Marian Maghiran in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC STEAUA's goalie prevented a goal. Vasile Angelescu's late challenge caught a UFC STEAUA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Angelescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when FC Inter Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Angelescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, 蔡飞耀 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Massa. UFC STEAUA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 蔡飞耀 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The audience was convinced that Marian Maghiran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Massa was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After 68 minutes, Marian Maghiran made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. UFC STEAUA's João Massa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Inter Craiova walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
