FC Acatar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Chiru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alin Chiru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costin Botescu having to make a save. The supporters of FC Acatar booed when Real Mangalia - BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Negrilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Alin Chiru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Acatar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Jaime Villegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes FC Acatar got a freekick which was hit by Denis Jilăveanu. In the 34th minute Alin Chiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Botescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paco Rabanera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekhemos Kezdoglou having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, FC Acatar's goalkeeper Ekhemos Kezdoglou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paco Rabanera. 44 minutes into the game, Alin Chiru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Costin Botescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Real Mangalia - BTF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Acatar were winning 0-2.

In the 50th minute, Ovidiu Negrilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Paco Rabanera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ekhemos Kezdoglou was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Alin Chiru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Costin Botescu. That made the score 1-3 in the 56 minute of play. Costin Botescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Bâlea in the 59th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Negrilă during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Real Mangalia - BTF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Negrilă to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Alin Chiru took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Costin Botescu to make any attempt to save it. In the 66th minute, FC Acatar's Constantin Bâlea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Costin Botescu. Costin Botescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 71st minute, Ovidiu Negrilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Alin Chiru dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Costin Botescu, 1-6. With a little luck, Real Mangalia - BTF's Costin Botescu got control of the ball when Alin Chiru tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Alin Chiru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Costin Botescu. The goal made the score 1-7. Ekhemos Kezdoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peio Bouzas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Jens-Uwe Schram hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle went the supporters of FC Acatar were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Real Mangalia - BTF side.
