Codrin Zogreanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ekhemos Kezdoglou. FC Acatar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute Alin Chiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardahan Hiçyılmaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidiu Negrilă's late challenge caught a FC Acatar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidiu Negrilă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Real Mangalia - BTF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Negrilă to maneuver through the defense. FC Acatar were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Real Mangalia - BTF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Constantin Bâlea took the corner. The corner ended in Denis Jilăveanu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Mangalia - BTF's Ardahan Hiçyılmaz did a great save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
