The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Romeo Minculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Martin Tudor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Psihopel BM-MM- from getting a goal against them. FC Maci -MM-'s Vladimir Kramnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Diculescu in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Sabin Miclauș hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Botescu came free, but Vladimir Kramnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Augustin Petruț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Kramnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sami Zübeyr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Tudor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 25th minute. Rareș Ignea charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rareș Ignea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Rareș Ignea got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Augustin Petruț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Kramnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Petruț came free, but Vladimir Kramnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Maci -MM- defense, Augustin Petruț kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimir Kramnik. The FC Maci -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimir Kramnik should have stopped the shot. Vladimir Kramnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Diculescu in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Martin Tudor got control of the ball when Sami Zübeyr tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vladimir Kramnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Petruț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sami Zübeyr managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Maci -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sami Zübeyr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Tudor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sami Zübeyr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Tudor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Psihopel BM-MM- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC Maci -MM- a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sami Zübeyr, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Martin Tudor. 1-1. With a little luck, FC Maci -MM-'s Vladimir Kramnik got control of the ball when Paul Diculescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s goalkeeper Martin Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Maci -MM-'s Vladimir Kramnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Geangu in the 64th minute of play. FC Maci -MM- made a substitution. Emanuel Lasker replaced Rareș Ignea. 73 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Vladimir Kramnik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Diculescu. Vladimir Kramnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Ortzi in the 76th minute of play. Vladimir Kramnik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Ortzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Vladimir Kramnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Ortzi in the 77th minute of the match. After 84 minutes, Sami Zübeyr made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Martin Tudor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Radu Geangu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Denis Mircescu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Despite being the better team, FC Psihopel BM-MM- failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
