After a defensive mix-up in FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s zone, Valentin Voicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Tudor came out of the goal and Valentin Voicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augustin Petruț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Vladimir Kramnik made a huge save. 20 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Vladimir Kramnik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Diculescu. Paul Diculescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Vladimir Kramnik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paul Diculescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Vladimir Kramnik skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ionică Botescu kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Vladimir Kramnik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radu Geangu in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Petruț got free with Vladimir Kramnik in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Psihopel BM-MM- made a substitution. Wlodzimierz Pracki replaced Paul Diculescu. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augustin Petruț was the one to do the kick off. Vladimir Kramnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Petruț in the 56th minute of the match. FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Martin Tudor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save FC Psihopel BM-MM- from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Pracki came free, but Vladimir Kramnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Sami Zübeyr quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 69thth minute of the game Sami Zübeyr who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Martin Tudor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Igor Czapski got a free kick in the 72nd minute. FC Maci -MM-'s Felix Lucaci was substituted for Rich Bastard. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Igor Czapski hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes, FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s Nicodim Bădiliță shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vladimir Kramnik came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Psihopel BM-MM- reached it. Martin Tudor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 78th minute. FC Maci -MM- were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carl-Rune Emmenegger took the corner. In the 82ndth minute of the game Radu Geangu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Maci -MM-'s Vladimir Kramnik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, FC Psihopel BM-MM-'s goalkeeper Martin Tudor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Czapski. 95 minutes into the game, Denis Mircescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of FC Maci -MM- booed when FC Psihopel BM-MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Mircescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Denis Mircescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Maci -MM- players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
