Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) FC Buzău's Avram Elenescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's Traian Balaban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marjan Yatsenko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. F.C. SPERANTZA's Marjan Yatsenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Balaban in the 9th minute of play. Marjan Yatsenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Aanuţei, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Yevgen Sokolyanskyi sent off a good shot on target. After 21 played minutes F.C. SPERANTZA got a freekick which was hit by Yevgen Sokolyanskyi. The supporters of F.C. SPERANTZA booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Carabulea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Cernat to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Klement Mnich took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gheorghe Baldovin to make any attempt to save it. Leonard Aanuţei might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marjan Yatsenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Aanuţei ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Aanuţei in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marjan Yatsenko saved F.C. SPERANTZA from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Avram Elenescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marjan Yatsenko was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Augustin Cernat kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match, Xiao Peng Bang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Buzău's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lenny Porter was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. SPERANTZA's players had a chance to rest. Marjan Yatsenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Aanuţei in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Xiao Peng Bang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st play minute Leonard Aanuţei came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marjan Yatsenko. 1-1. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yevgen Sokolyanskyi in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Cătălin Mischie suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Emil Strugure fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Buzău's protests and gave Emil Strugure a yellow card for diving instead. F.C. SPERANTZA made a substitution. Roman Sobko replaced Cătălin Mischie. In the 60th minute, Flavius Drâmba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Lenny Porter managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. SPERANTZA's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenny Porter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gheorghe Baldovin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, F.C. SPERANTZA's Marjan Yatsenko got control of the ball when Leonard Aanuţei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Klement Mnich's late challenge caught a FC Buzău's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klement Mnich helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes F.C. SPERANTZA got a freekick which was hit by Klement Mnich. Xiao Peng Bang hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Yevgen Sokolyanskyi came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes, Ostap Koloda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. SPERANTZA and the FC Buzău players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. SPERANTZA!
