Costin Ciorobîtcă was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Milan Tigers's players had a chance to rest. Napoleon Czajka hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Doru Oprea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Costin Ciorobîtcă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dimitris Charalambopoulos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dimitris Charalambopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Jumancă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costin Ciorobîtcă made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Martin Răuţă. Cezar Bourceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Barbăneagră read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, AC Milan Tigers's goalkeeper Codrin Barbăneagră had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dacian Iorgu. Codrin Barbăneagră was a little too slow when Dacian Iorgu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Dacian Iorgu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Codrin Barbăneagră made a huge save. In the 43rd minute Dacian Iorgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Barbăneagră saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes FC Panat got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Iorgu.

AC Milan Tigers's Codrin Barbăneagră played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Bourceanu in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Cezar Bourceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Barbăneagră was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Codrin Barbăneagră tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Panat's Iulian Romanescu was substituted for Gică Comșa. Panait Moșneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Codrin Barbăneagră tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AC Milan Tigers's Petru Lăceanu got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Panait Moșneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Barbăneagră saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the AC Milan Tigers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Panat.
