After a defensive mix-up in Progresul Pitesti's zone, Nichifor Vişoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Tudor came out of the goal and Nichifor Vişoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. But to his dismay, Karol Czempa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nichifor Vişoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Martin Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Progresul Pitesti's Paul Dumitru threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chorache Tofiño, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 14 minutes into the match, Nichifor Vişoiu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor. Martin Tudor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when Rova Rosiori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niculae Cângea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Progresul Pitesti's Chorache Tofiño got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Progresul Pitesti were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
