After 8 played minutes F.C.DrobetA-Știința- got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Popoiu. 11 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Barros Schelloto came free, but Augustin Milcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Popoiu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Damian Țepeneag threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Vic Alexander quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vic Cos during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes F.C.DrobetA-Știința- got a freekick which was hit by Vic Cos. Juventus Țiu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Boteanu in the 21st minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Daniel Mihele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus Țiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Mihele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gheorghe Buta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Matias Barros Schelloto put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Augustin Milcu. 30 minutes into the game, F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Gheorghe Buta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augustin Milcu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 34 minutes into the game, Victor Augustin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juventus Țiu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C.DrobetA-Știința- the free kick. In the 34th minute, Victor Augustin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Matias Barros Schelloto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augustin Milcu. Juventus Țiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matias Barros Schelloto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Damian Țepeneag made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Daniel Zdrelea. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Boteanu was the one to do the kick off. Damian Țepeneag made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Dacian Popoiu. Emilian Ferenț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Boteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Buta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Augustin Milcu. Gheorghe Buta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Damian Țepeneag hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Augustin Milcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Buta, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Gheorghe Buta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augustin Milcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Gheorghe Buta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Augustin Milcu. That made the score 0-6 after 74 minutes of play. In the 78th minute, Gheorghe Buta made a precise shot to the right of Augustin Milcu. Juventus Țiu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghe Buta got free with Augustin Milcu in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd match minute, F.C.DrobetA-Știința- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic Alexander to maneuver through the defense. Dacian Popoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dacian Popoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dacian Popoiu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Buta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augustin Milcu. Juventus Țiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gheorghe Buta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Emilian Ferenț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Mihele in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Uzuneanu in the 95th minute of play forced F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s goalkeeper Emilian Ferenț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The F.C.DrobetA-Știința- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C.DrobetA-Știința- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
