Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Shi Ming Sheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Juventus Țiu's Claudiu Tăutu got a free kick in the 11th minute. Codruț Gogu was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Shi Ming Sheng capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shi Ming Sheng really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Muhammet Altın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Gogu having to interfere. Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ionel Scripcaru in the 18 minute of the game. Shi Ming Sheng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Codruț Gogu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Stiinta-Univ. fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Stiinta-Univ.'s Shi Ming Sheng looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 25 played minutes Juventus Țiu got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Scripcaru. The crowd rose to their feet as Stiinta-Univ.'s Shi Ming Sheng slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codruț Gogu. That made the score 4-0 after 26 minutes of play. Aurel Panait fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Gogu having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Aurel Panait got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Tomasz Gacek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Codruț Gogu, 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Boteanu to make the kick off. Okan Koc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Gogu having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Okan Koc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Codruț Gogu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Codruț Gogu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Panait in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Tomasz Gacek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Gogu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codruț Gogu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Ming Sheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Shi Ming Sheng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stiinta-Univ. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Codruț Gogu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Koc, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Aurel Panait shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Gogu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Shi Ming Sheng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codruț Gogu. Juventus Țiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shi Ming Sheng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Okan Koc put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Codruț Gogu. 84 minutes into the match, Aurel Panait had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codruț Gogu. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
