In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s goalkeeper Emilian Ferenț, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilian Ferenț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 41st minute of the match. After 42 minutes, Vic Alexander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.DrobetA-Știința- and the Stiinta-Univ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, F.C.DrobetA-Știința- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic Alexander to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Shi Ming Sheng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Shi Ming Sheng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Barros Schelloto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurel Panait who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Emilian Ferenț when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 55 minutes of play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Aurel Panait made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilian Ferenț was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Aurel Panait had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Panait fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Ferenț having to interfere. Okan Kocs short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Emilian Ferenț to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 63 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Viteazul Flore. Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Șerban Rușanu replaced Virgil Oargă. In the 65th minute, Viteazul Flore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Ferenț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Vic Cos in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano. Shi Ming Sheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Ferenț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Ming Sheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vic Cos in the 78 minute of the game. With a little luck, F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Emilian Ferenț got control of the ball when Shi Ming Sheng tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilian Ferenț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Ming Sheng's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Iacob Groza kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Shi Ming Sheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilian Ferenț was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Ming Sheng in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilian Ferenț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, F.C.DrobetA-Știința-'s Iacob Groza got a free kick in the 91st minute. Shi Ming Shengs short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Emilian Ferenț to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to F.C.DrobetA-Știința- getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Vic Cos hit a great ball. Stiinta-Univ.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
