Carlos Taffarel was a little too slow when Dolf Schoonderwoerd got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 2-0. Academia Santista CIMZ's attentive Afonso Ferraz managed to snatch the ball when Riemer Fries made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Dolf Schoonderwoerd put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Taffarel. The crowd rose to their feet as Piearres Olalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Taffarel. That made the score 5-0 in the 24 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Taffarel saved Academia Santista CIMZ from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Piearres Olalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Piearres Olalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 33 in the game by Dolf Schoonderwoerd from a close distance when the talented Carlos Taffarel managed to make a qualified save. Academia Santista CIMZ's players were relieved. Piearres Olalla kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Severino Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 43rd minute Dolf Schoonderwoerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.
After 51 played minutes Academia Santista CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Ferraz. In the 52nd minute Dolf Schoonderwoerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Dolf Schoonderwoerd made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Taffarel. Academia Santista CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Iustin Hațegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Taffarel having to interfere. After 60 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Piearres Olalla. Afonso Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Carlos Taffarel came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd. But to his dismay, Dolf Schoonderwoerd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The The Underdogs fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Piearres Olalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlos Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 81st minute of the match. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. 84 minutes into the game, one of Academia Santista CIMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Carlos Taffarel went to the wrong direction when Piearres Olalla was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Carlos Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute Dolf Schoonderwoerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes, The Underdogs's Iustin Hațegan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Taffarel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Underdogs reached it. Piearres Olalla took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Taffarel. Carlos Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. 99 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
