Santiago Mino scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Bonelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 7 minutes, Cesare Loreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorci Viola and the Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12thth minute of the game Santiago Mino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Bonelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Rozarius, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Santiago Mino made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Armando Bonelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Mino in the 21st minute of the match. Bruno Egidi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Alfredo Joey made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Alvise Urbani sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Mino in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Bonelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29thth minute of the game Cosimo Toninelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo's Alfredo Joey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 33rd minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Armando Bonelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Mino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Bonelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. When Palermo's Santiago Mino in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Cesare Loreto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Sorci Viola's Cesare Loreto got a free kick in the 44th minute. Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Mino in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santiago Mino to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Urbani in the 52nd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Edoardo Meo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Joey came out of the goal and Edoardo Meo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Mino came free, but Armando Bonelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Bonelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Mino in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Edoardo Meo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorci Viola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edoardo Meo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palermo's Marcelino Chaime was substituted for Carolo Rozarius. Sorci Viola made a substitution. Franco Piccirilli replaced Cosimo Toninelli. In the 72nd minute, Arnoldo Medina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With his leg Armando Bonelli managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Palermo's Santiago Mino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alvise Urbani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alfredo Joey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edoardo Meo in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Joey saved Palermo from getting behind. Palermo made a substitution. Jhonny Del Fierro replaced Arnoldo Medina. 91 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Armando Bonelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Mino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhonny Del Fierro in the 93rd minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Armando Bonelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli got control of the ball when Santiago Mino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match, Jhonny Del Fierro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armando Bonelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palermo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
