Peter Blomkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Anders Lundqvist made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Bebben Johansson came free, but Nicasio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Loco Durazno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebben Johansson in the 34th minute of play. Kosmas Banasopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Nicasio Abad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loco Durazno's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Björkqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Georg Termander with Leo Strömbom as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loco Durazno was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Alonzo Gomesano in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Golden Lions FC's Georg Termander. A collision led to Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Kosmas Banasopoulos hit a great ball. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. Antonio Alzamendi replaced William Lebigot. After 57 played minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ got a freekick which was hit by Kosmas Banasopoulos. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. 唐天克 didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad got control of the ball when Georg Termander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pietro Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anders Lundqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. If İbrahim Efe Topdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Abad was a little too slow when Cosme Larpe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-1. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. Baldomero Ilazki replaced Joel Enekoitz. Despite being the better team, Golden Lions FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
