When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Stamen Tekeliev sped through Milfontes United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Romeu De Sousa. In the 17th minute, Stamen Tekeliev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu De Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 19 played minutes Milfontes United got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Macedo. After having played for 20 minutes, Stamen Tekeliev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Playa Malvín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stamen Tekeliev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Playa Malvín's zone, Raul Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Roberto Teixeira came out of the goal and Raul Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Stamen Tekeliev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeu De Sousa. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu De Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romeu De Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Tekeliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Zé Roberto Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Baicu's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Stamen Tekeliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu De Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Milfontes United got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Macedo. Stamen Tekeliev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeu De Sousa having to make a save. Romeu De Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stamen Tekeliev went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. When Stamen Tekeliev came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Playa Malvín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stamen Tekeliev couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, Jorge Macedo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Playa Malvín's Vladimiro Marquez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Baicu to make the kick off. Stamen Tekeliev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu De Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Raul Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Zé Roberto Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Stamen Tekeliev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu De Sousa was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Niva Espellosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu De Sousa having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Niva Espellosa notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Milfontes United's Romeu De Sousa. Romeu De Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Playa Malvín walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
