Gösta Vennerkvist hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goalkeeper Esbjörn Tunander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Korneliusz Barna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitaliy van der Aa in the 9th minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Pierre-Emile Højbjerg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the 12th minute of play. Esbjörn Tunander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Korneliusz Barna went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Flavio Peter came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by GrassNuts FC's Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. But to his dismay, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 38 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Pinho. 41 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Barna came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ignacio Gotzon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half GrassNuts FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitaliy van der Aa was the one to do the kick off. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ulisses Doro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ulisses Doro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Batalionul U23 Dorobanti protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ulisses Doro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ulisses Doro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitaliy van der Aa got free with Flavio Peter in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitaliy van der Aa in the 72nd minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Åkerman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask was substituted for Rikki Doro. After a rather tough play, GrassNuts FC's Pär Almkvist got a free kick in the 76th minute. Brian Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tauro Doro during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tauro Doro hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting a goal against them. Philip Åkerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Flavio Peter made a huge save. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aresti Montiel kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GrassNuts FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
