When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Joel Groom scored 3-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dorian Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Marler in the 56th minute of play forced Microsoft Team's goalkeeper Dorian Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Tróia during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th minute Peter Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egg Chasers FC's Lee Bannatyne suffered a sore foot after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Amílton Matos was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th match minute, Microsoft Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Matos to maneuver through the defense.
