But to his dismay, Anšlavs Karcirvis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Giurcă got free with Claes Stålberg in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucrețiu Oroian in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claes Stålberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Oroian got free with Claes Stålberg in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dacian Oravițan guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Moseng was the one to do the kick off. Dacian Oravițan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Moseng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claes Stålberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Giurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If George Giurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC ciufulici's Dacian Oravițan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Blomqvist in the 77th minute of play.
