The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruce Marler got free with Dacian Oravițan in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vincent Blakeley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Oroian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Marler. 15 minutes into the game, Bruce Marler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dacian Oravițan. Bruce Marler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Bruce Marler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC ciufulici's Dacian Oravițan got control of the ball when Peter Crouch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dacian Jecu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Egg Chasers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Whieldon to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Vincent Blakeley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Marler in the 36th minute of play forced FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tosh Goodwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes, Edgar Dragotescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ciufulici and the Egg Chasers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Edgar Dragotescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Oravițan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rex Wall. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Tosh Goodwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC ciufulici's Dacian Oravițan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vincent Blakeley made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Giurcă in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Tosh Goodwin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dacian Oravițan was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Dacian Oravițan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozzy Acton in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ronny Whieldon hit a great ball. Vincent Blakeley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisc Tarcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 76 minutes, Edgar Vlas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ciufulici and the Egg Chasers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes FC ciufulici got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Vlas. Rex Wall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dacian Oravițan. FC ciufulici's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruce Marler took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dacian Oravițan. Dacian Oravițan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Vincent Blakeley was a little too slow when George Giurcă got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-1. Dacian Oravițan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Marler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC ciufulici's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
