With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godo Møltoft in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Ekrot saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. Seggiano's Eugenio Colecchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Mutumba in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Daniele Massaro made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 24th minute, Tage Glanselius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Colecchia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
