In the 9th minute of the match SSV Ulm 1846 got a corner. Wiktoria Zajafka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Olof Lilja ran over to the corner to take the kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wiktoria Zajafka fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Don Merlot who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Sylwester Domeradzki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 26 minutes into the game, Nechifor Măcrineanu threw the ball into play from the sideline. SSV Ulm 1846's Afonso Silveira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Delmiro Jayvier got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 35th minute, Alberigo Sessa made a precise shot to the right of Sylwester Domeradzki. Wiktoria Zajafka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Don Merlot to strike the kick off in the second half. Wiktoria Zajafka's Radomir Paprotny was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Timo Courtois in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Niclas Monschke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Wiktoria Zajafka's Nechifor Măcrineanu got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Niclas Monschke got free in front of the goal in the 97th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Sylwester Domeradzki was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
