Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Paul Heyckendorf successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 27 minutes into the game, Ionică Savu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paul Heyckendorf. Ionică Savu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 29th minute Lutz Golke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Slătineanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match, Ionică Savu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paul Heyckendorf saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Savu in the 31st minute of play. Joachim Kretschmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mugurel Slătineanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ionică Savu was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute of the match AFC Nirosxn 08 got a corner. Academica Pulheim's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emil Atanasiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emil Atanasiu succeeded in the game's 58th minute to get real power on a long shot . Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-0! 63 minutes into the match, AFC Nirosxn 08's goal looked a bit too open when Maxime Vrints came free, but Mugurel Slătineanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionică Savu in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Heyckendorf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, AFC Nirosxn 08's goal looked a bit too open when Maxime Vrints came free, but Mugurel Slătineanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mugurel Slătineanu made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Joachim Kretschmer sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 72 minutes, David Jönsätt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Nirosxn 08's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Jönsätt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Bogrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, AFC Nirosxn 08's David Jönsätt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Heyckendorf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Savu in the 90th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Simon Beuke suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Ionică Savu fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Nirosxn 08's protests and gave Ionică Savu a yellow card for diving instead. Ionică Savu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Emil Atanasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
