Afşar Uçuk kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Karol Panasewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blue Mountain State's Aykut Aşkın managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Reinhard Baum in the 25 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 26th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 31st minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Blue Mountain State defense, Alex Mansilha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robin Sharma. The Blue Mountain State fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robin Sharma should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Karol Panasewicz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Heyckendorf. The goal made the score 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Paul Heyckendorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Gary Lineker came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Sharma was a little too slow when Alex Mansilha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-2. Karol Panasewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Heyckendorf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karol Panasewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Karol Panasewicz scored 2-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul Heyckendorf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. Lionel-Andrés Messi replaced Karol Panasewicz. Blue Mountain State's George Popescu was substituted for Gökcan Bergin. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxime Vrints in the 70th minute of play. Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxime Vrints in the 71st minute of play. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aykut Aşkın in the 73rd minute of play.
