MIT Craiova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loco Durazno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Bebben Johansson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of MIT Craiova's Calistrat Madgearu. Calistrat Madgearu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loco Durazno took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calistrat Madgearu. Calistrat Madgearu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Loco Durazno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiberiu Caramarin. Loco Durazno scored 0-4 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calistrat Madgearu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Madgearu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Banu, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Loco Durazno might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calistrat Madgearu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loco Durazno ran back to his position shaking his head. Kálmán Balogh kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute of the match, Florin Seremet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anders Lundqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Banu in the 37th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loco Durazno scored 0-5 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calistrat Madgearu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiberiu Caramarin was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Loco Durazno took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Calistrat Madgearu to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Madgearu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 62 minutes MIT Craiova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Georg Termander who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Leo Strömbom managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Durazno, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. MIT Craiova's Calistrat Madgearu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save MIT Craiova from getting a goal against them. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Cosme Larpe replaced Leo Strömbom. Golden Lions FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cosme Larpe in the 69th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Bebben Johansson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Tunander in the 74th minute of the match. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. İbrahim Efe Topdemir hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by İbrahim Efe Topdemir. Nicodim Orășan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 81st minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MIT Craiova's Bogdan Bucataru was substituted for Florin Seremet. The supporters of MIT Craiova booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kálmán Balogh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes, MIT Craiova's Bogdan Bucataru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MIT Craiova reached it. In the 90th minute David Tunander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, İbrahim Efe Topdemir reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Calistrat Madgearu. The goal made the score 1-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Golden Lions FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
