In the 14th minute Zé Paulo da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ádám Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Gigel Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ádám Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mason Mount had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. eDp! In the 32nd match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilhelm Nienhaus to maneuver through the defense. Ádám Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziemowit Tscherner in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Jörg Hannemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ádám Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Nienhaus to make the kick off. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Malvin in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 55th minute of play forced eDp! Gaming FC's goalkeeper Ádám Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, eDp! Gaming FC's Ádám Szuper got control of the ball when Wilhelm Nienhaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hertha 1969's Stefan Mayer was substituted for Lüder Roppel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Malvin in the 74th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Tage Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the eDp! Gaming FC defense, Gigel Elenescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ádám Szuper. The eDp! Gaming FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ádám Szuper should have stopped the shot. eDp! Gaming FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Kristian Oswald scored to the left of an out of position Ádám Szuper, making the score, 0-4. Ádám Szuper made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Kristian Oswald sent off a good shot on target. Gaming FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gigel Elenescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Hertha 1969's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
