Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Wilhelm Nienhaus made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olaf Geiger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Wilhelm Nienhaus scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olaf Geiger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olaf Geiger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Wilhelm Nienhaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olaf Geiger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fire Devils's goalkeeper Olaf Geiger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Nalaskowski in the 19th minute of play. Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus managed to work through Fire Devils's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wilhelm Nienhaus dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 24 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Nalaskowski came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilhelm Nienhaus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olaf Geiger came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilhelm Nienhaus slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 26th minute. Dariusz Nalaskowski took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Jarstein. Rune Jarstein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. With 40 minutes on the clock, Samuel Giger commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fire Devils fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Olaf Geiger had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Wilhelm Nienhaus's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus was responsible for 5-1 with a brilliant performance in the 43rd minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Olaf Geiger.
The wind increased when Dariusz Nalaskowski made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Nalaskowski in the 55th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Dariusz Nalaskowski made a precise shot to the right of Rune Jarstein. Hertha 1969's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. In the 59th minute of the match Hertha 1969 got a corner. Fire Devils's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 68th minute, Olof Palm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hertha 1969's Kristian Oswald was substituted for Jörg Hannemann. In the 69th minute, Olof Palm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Vornic, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Wilhelm Nienhaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olaf Geiger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Wilhelm Nienhaus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olaf Geiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fire Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha 1969's players had a chance to rest. If Gigel Elenescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Arne Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Jarstein having to interfere. Iosif Vornic received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rune Jarstein came out and tried to block the shot, but Iosif Vornic slotted it home off the left post making it 6-3 in the 96th minute. The Hertha 1969 support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
