After 34 minutes of play, KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's Juan-Ramón Verón made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Jarstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Ramón Verón in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Celalettin Çalımbay hit a great ball. When Ziemowit Tscherner fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hertha 1969's protests and gave Ziemowit Tscherner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Ziemowit Tscherner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Nienhaus to make the kick off. Rune Jarstein didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan-Ramón Verón went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Mondi Muslera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörg Hannemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celalettin Çalımbay was slow to take the kick. During this time KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's players had a chance to rest. In the 80thth minute of the game Kristian Oswald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's Mondi Muslera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Cezmi Taşkınay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rune Jarstein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cezmi Taşkınay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilio Melzer kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Ziemowit Tscherner was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 94 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Ziemowit Tscherner. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
