In the 18th minute, Maximo Villamarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Xabel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Samuel Matro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dawid Ratulowski. That made the score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, POSSE 1911 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Villamarin came free, but Angel Xabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Red Reign's Dawid Ratulowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Red Reign from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Sérgio Aguero made the kick off in the second half.
