The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Sérgio Aguero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute Nereo Cacheres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Modesto Bernat struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Albano Unzueta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for POSSE 1911 FC. In the 16th minute, Xavi Guardiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 18th minute of play. The corner ended in Modesto Bernat almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta did a great save. 45 minutes into the game, Osmar Saldanha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POSSE 1911 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los once leones Ourense the free kick. Osmar Saldanha hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dabi Vila to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicasio Amor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes Los once leones Ourense got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Ramis. In the 56th minute of the match Modesto Bernat shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albano Unzueta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
