An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Pesquera in the 3rd minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin da Fonseca in the 5th minute of the match. After 6 minutes Manchester United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabian Hansson who took care of the corner kick. Pesqueira City's João Francisco Tande was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin van der Sar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jeremias Orland made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Valdemar Kuoppala sent off a good shot on target. After 9 minutes of play, Pesqueira City's Benjamin da Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin van der Sar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edwin van der Sar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin da Fonseca went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 23rdth minute of the game Benjamin da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremias Orland made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Eero Uusipaavalniemi sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taisto Pentsinen in the 26th minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Jeremias Orland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Benjamin da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin van der Sar was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Jeremias Orland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taisto Pentsinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Kuoppala got free with Jeremias Orland in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Jeremias Orland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdemar Kuoppala. In the 46th match minute, Pesqueira City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Hansson to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin da Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Orland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eero Uusipaavalniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Markus Vähäsavo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Markus Vähäsavo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 67th minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Jeremias Orland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Orland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 68th minute of the match. Valdemar Kuoppala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jeremias Orland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
