An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 36th minute of play forced ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's goalkeeper Gottfrid Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slawomir Fujara to maneuver through the defense. Gottfrid Hedström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gottfrid Hedström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deilmison van Basten to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's goal looked a bit too open when Robin van Persie came free, but Gottfrid Hedström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Robin van Persie in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's Slawomir Fujara. A collision led to ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Yu Ting hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Stasio Plachetka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães was substituted for Unax Mudarra. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aias Kreskas in the 72nd minute of play. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Plachetka in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rdth minute of the game Aias Kreskas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aias Kreskas in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's Aiakos Vardakas got a free kick in the 94th minute. The ATHLETICO PRaiano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ATHLETICO PRaiano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
